Health Authorities have started an official investigation after the confirmation of 4,700 positive COVID cases in the week of 19 August. Of these infected ravers, 800 are thought to be living in Cornwall and about three-quarters of them are aged 16-21. The music festival, attended by 50,000 people, featured headlining artists like Foals, Gorillaz, and Jorja Smith.
According to Boardmasters COVID-19 Policy, they will ask all ticket holders aged 11 and over to demonstrate their COVID-19 status via the NHS COVID Pass upon arrival at the festival gates before entering by providing ONE of the following:

Cornwall Council said it had thought about cancelling Boardmasters, which took place from 11-15 August and was attended by about 50,000 people but had decided the festival could go ahead. It insisted its staff had worked closely with the organisers to make the event as safe as possible.
People who camped at the festival had to take a second NHS lateral flow test during the event and log their results in the app.
Face masks were not compulsory but were encouraged.
Friday line-up included Foals, Sam Fender, Kano, Lianne La Havas, Mahalia, Jade Bird, Kojey Radical, etc. Saturday headliner was Gorillaz, after which Loyal Carner, The Kooks, Becky Hill, Django Django, etc. played. The last day i.e., Sunday was headlined by Jorja Smith. Other artists like, Dizzee Rascal, Jamie XX, Blossoms, Easy Life, etc. also played.
