It’s a pleasure to have you with us Lady Caro’zart, my first question for you is;
I am a Djane for 6 years and a producer for 1 year. I began DJing locally in Luxembourg, and little by little abroad in Germany and France. Music is my passion since childhood. I discovered Electronic Music at 18, and I fell in love with the dance floors. Even if I lived in Paris, I could pursue my passion there. It was Luxembourg where something clicked inside me, and I started DJing to explore all styles of Electronic Music, beginning from Deep House and introducing more Underground sounds in my DJ set.
The confinement was very hard. But even though everything was locked, I decided to perform after a month of learning production and started creating a few songs. Then I decided to send the 1st of Melodic Techno “Love vibrations” to Paul Sawyer, one of my maestros. He answered me very quickly and signed it on the Textures compilation.
It was really amazing for me! A very close collaboration started. The confinement was tough but on the other side, it gave me the keys for developing my knowledge in production and especially my creativity.
In my opinion, Luxembourg will organize more events in the open air because of the COVID situation, but I hope that everything will return quickly to normal.
Trance was my favourite style when I was 20 years old, and melody is really important to me. For example, I like classical instruments like violin or piano and angelic vocals that give me the feeling of flying. At the same time, I also like good kicks and really present basses, that's why I like Melodic Techno and also Techno sounds.
For the Melodic Techno and Progressive House, the artists that inspired me: Chicane of course, Einmusik, Jeremy Olander, Rafael Cerato, Paul Sawyer, Yotto, Rauschhaus, Undercatt, Guy Gerber, Tvardovsky, Lane 8, Tinlicker, and so many other artists.
I also discovered artists like Betoko, Adam Port, Rampa, &Me - for the afro rhythms too, Gioli & Assia - for the incredible live set they do with vocals and instruments and Bicep that showed me how to work on different rhythms inside a track.
For the Techno part, I am more oriented towards Nicolas Taboada, Rebuke, Spektre, Ramon Tapia, Oxia, Pleasurkraft, some incredible women producers such as Nicole Moudaber, Anja Schneider, and Sama, or Maceo Plex who can cook your electronica sounds, or powerful techno, Enrico Sangiuliano, Alan Fitzpatrick, Hidden Empire, Teenage mutants, and of course Mark Reeve which is a very sensitive artist, powerful and rightful in the same time in techno among many others fantastic artists. Their tracks give me power and also accurate teaching details they include in their tracks too. It is the diversity of what you listen to that enriches your productions.
As I explained before, the connection was made when I sent my first track "Love Vibrations" to Paul Sawyer, out in texture 4, and I sent him all 4 tracks: “Trust” which is in the compilation.
Textures 5 and 3 others tracks "Hard Tear, Orange Soul, and Shout” will be out in some months too in Krafted Underground. On the Last 4th of January, I sent "Don’t Know " and asked him if he could do a remix for me. He fell in love with it and made me a fantastic remix and we received many beautiful feedbacks from renowned artists on it.
I signed with other fine Italian labels as Samsara Experience and the second label of the amazing techno producer “Frankyeffe” and “Wild”, which is more of a techno label, and we will sign another Ep for Wild next October with a track entitled "U & Me" with a super remix of a very renowned producer Da Fresh.
I had the chance to have super remixes for my tracks as Patrick Podage, Da fresh, Tamer Fouda, and my maestro Paul Sawyer. And now I am working on one remix for a rising producer and I am preparing other productions.
Ableton 10 because of the construction of the program. It’s very easy to work with, and after I have some sample packs to include in every new track. A new toy will arrive in my studio in some weeks which will help me to spice up my creativity.
It is not an easy question, because I have many rising artists I like. But in Melodic Techno and Progressive House, I will say, Dan & Dan, OIBAFF, Wallen, Tamer Fouda, Thomas Labermair, and Soul Alchemist.
And for the real Underground, in my style of course, Lewis Delay, Paxtech, Ignacio Arfeli, no man Left, Guilou, could be the future of Techno.
I have already played for the National Day in Luxembourg in Mesa Verde. Honestly, it was an amazing moment for me to see people dancing in front of me again. I have played in private events too and will plan next Sunday an open-air pool party in France.
But with the new COVID rules, It’s really difficult to plan in advance. But I have many projects in production that help me to resist. My booking agency in Amsterdam is working for us too, and we hope for a better future for parties.
I will choose a video from June 22nd, - the National Day where I played my new unreleased track “Contemplations”
