One of the most important events on the electronic music industry's calendar, IMS Ibiza kicks-off today for five days of workshops, talks and, of course, parties. In association with shesaid.so, the annual summit will tackle the issues affecting the industries, cultures and technological progression of electronic music around the world.
Featuring 118 global leaders and experts, IMS brings its focus to two main points--"Mental Health Awareness" and "Is Club Culture Headed in the Right Direction?".
While Day 1 starts with the Melon Bomb party at the world-famous Pacha, Day 2 gets stuck right into the bulk of the workshops, but not before the daily Wellness Yoga Session at the Hard Rock Hotel in the morning. Some of the other topics covered throughout the week include "Bye Bye To Plastic - How The Music Industry Can Evolve Together For A Greener Future", "shesaid.so Presents... Investigating Intersectionality" and "Introducing... The Palestine Music Scene".
Ending off each day is a range of parties boasting some of the best DJs in electronic music. With parties like Black Coffee's opening at Hi Ibiza, elrow's opening at Amnesia and Cocoon's 20th Birthday at Ushuaia wrapping up the five-day event, IMS Ibiza 2019 will explore the highs and lows of this ever-growing industry, with the hope of creating better, safer experiences for punters around the world.
