Kygo is a Norwegian DJ, songwriter and record producer, well-known for his 2013 remix of Ed Sheeran's 'I See Fire'. He signed to Sony Music in 2014 and released his first studio album “Cloud Nine,” which was released in May 2016. He also worked on Whitney Houston’s cover of Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love.” 

In his younger years, Kygo was totally immersed in piano playing and it was Avicii’s production that inspired him to produce. He taught himself Logic through online tutorials and his grounding in piano-playing gave him the discipline he needed to power through hours of honing his craft. Posting remixes online, it was his remix of Marvin Gaye’s ‘Sexual Healing’ that caught the attention of many followers and garnered thousands more on Facebook. In 2019, he performed three stand-out shows over 48 hours (the Veld music festival and two shows in Las Vegas). He has his own record label, Palm Tree Records, with his manager Myles Shear.
