Crossfader - Mix House and Tech like a Pro 07m 00s

About this lesson

In this lesson, passionate DJ and instructor Jamie Hartley teaches you how to mix using the most suitable tracks, whether Tech/Deep House/Techno, touching on hot cue preparation and swapping basslines, predominantly focusing on techniques including filtering frequencies and separating the various channels (including vocals), both with and without effects, using a Denon DJ Prime 2. This is a great introduction to understanding how to identify key elements and where they should be placed.

Jamie Hartley is the founder of We are Crossfader and has been DJing for over a decade, evolving from a bedroom creator to an established DJ with residencies at some of the leading clubs around the UK, playing alongside DJs such as Hardwell, Laidback Luke, Jazzy Jeff, Fatboy Slim & Martin Garrix to name a few. He has played at major festivals such as V Festival, T in the Park and Wildlife Festival, as well as in Ibiza & Croatia.

Crossfader is a UK based company built from a small team of dedicated DJs who have worked in the industry for many years. They love music and have a passion for technology in the DJ industry. The team are always experimenting, mixing, scratching and developing their own skills.
